Seniors Rule: He’s A Hero. He’s A Hipster. He’s A Search And Rescue Dog!

Recently, The New York Times profiled the hippest—and I’m willing to bet the most heroic—dog in Brooklyn as he and his owner relaxed at their local bar.

Cassius is a search and rescue dog. The eight-year-old German Shepherd and his owner, Peter Taft, have worked all over the world to save lives after disasters. This past weekend, Cassius was honored with the AKC Humane Fund Award for Canine Excellence (ACE) for his efforts in Haiti following the earthquake.
